Lessons from Hindi Movie Yeh Jawani Hai Diwani - Beautiful

I got this mail and it is just awesome. Lessons which a movie just beautifully gave :)

Worth to read :
Yeh jawani hai deewani may not have the best of the story. But it certainly has a lot of valuable thoughts and teachings.
Scene 1-When Naina decides to take a break and go for the trekking trip with all the unknown people.
# This shows that life is too short to be occupied. Decisions should be quick and should be the ones that give you "permanent happiness instead of temporary one."

Scene 2-When Naina and Bunny trekk the Boota hill knowing the rumours about it being haunted.
# This shows that live life fearlessly. There is no better feeling than overcoming your fears and cherishing the later moments.

Scene 3-When Aditi sends an emotional video message to Bunny inviting him for her marriage, considering that he wont come as he will be busy in his professional dream life.
# This shows that no matter what you do,where you work, what you have achieved, you will always be that special friend of a few people's life. Some things can never change even with time.

Scene 4-When Aditi finally notices that Bunny has come to attend her marriage and she jumps out like any random wildest frog on earth.
# This shows that some people may consider you as a major priority in your life without even letting you know. Nothing might give them happiness than just spending time with you. "Now it is upto you whether you want to understand that role of priority and carry on or just prioritize your own value and life and its goals and just neglect the happiness of others. This may give you a luxury life. But it surely wont give you comfortable life."

Scene 5-When Bunny and Avi fight on the issue of not  being in touch with each other since 8 years.
# This shows that you need to find time to speak to the people around you even in your busiest of the schedules. It may be difficult but when you look back after neglecting it,all you see is the fault of others and not yours. No one asks you to text or call at every moment. Afford one chat in a week to keep the relatioship healthy. Take interest in your friends life. Check out whats happening and if you could help him/her to make it better.

Scene 6-When Bunny's dad refuses him to go to America as he would be alone but yet he lets him go because he would be happy if his son is happy.
# This proves that parents could do anything for their children. Even though if its at the sake of their own personal happiness. Its upto us whether we understand, respect and work for our dreams and their happiness or not. They would never show the care that they have for us. We need to understand it.

Scene 7-When Bunny has to quit his dreams for his love Naina and peace and has to stay back and not go to Paris.
# Sometimes, life puts you in a situation when you are left absent minded. In such situations, always listen to what your heart says. Empty mind is a devils workship. You sometimes need to re-plan your goals and ambitions according to the situations. "Not only yours, but the happiness of the person with you also matters." This is the point we generally tend to forget as we have adapted to this selfish mentality of the mean world.
Well, the movie has many such scences which give us a lot to learn if looked upon it in that way. It is upon us how we perceive things. This is my perception. A positive one towards life.

Just to conclude,
I would add a line from the movie which goes as "Life mein kabhi bhi kitna bhi try kar lo,kuch na kuch hamesha chhut hi jaata hai."
Just to finish the line,"Jitna chhut jaata hai uski parwah mat karo. Abhi jo ho tumhare paas hai, uska maza lo. Usmein khush raho."
As said earlier, life is too short to live for everything.
The final choice is yours,
Priority or friends.
Luxury life or peaceful life.
Self-smile or reason behinds someones' smile.
And more importantly,
Preplanned goals and ambitions or situationaly modified goals and ambitions.

50 Years

A very nice mail i received today  when i opened my inbox.. I thought of sharing same on my blog.

 Very profound... ... ...

Because none of us have many years to live, and we can't take along anything
when we go, so we don't have to be too thrifty...

Spend the money that should be spent, enjoy what should be
enjoyed, donate what you are able to donate, but don't leave all to your
children or grandchildren, for you don't want them to become parasites who
are waiting for the day you will die!!

Don't worry about what will happen after we are gone, because when we return
to dust, we will feel nothing about praises or criticisms. The time to enjoy
the worldly life and your hard earned wealth will be over!

Don't worry too much about your children, for children will have their own
destiny and should find their own way. Don't be your children's slave. Care
for them, love them, give them gifts but also enjoy your money while you
can. Life should have more to it than working from the cradle to the grave!!

Don't expect too much from your children. Caring children, though
caring, would be too busy with their jobs and commitments to render much
help.

Uncaring children may fight over your assets even when you are still alive,
and wish for your early demise so they can inherit your properties and
wealth.

Your children take for granted that they are rightful heirs to your wealth;
but that you have no claims to their money.

50-year old like you, don't trade in your health for wealth by working
yourself to an early grave anymore... Because your money may not be able to
buy your health...

When to stop making money, and how much is enough (hundred thousands,
million, ten million)?

Out of thousand hectares of good farm land, you can consume only three
quarts (of rice) daily; out of a thousand mansions, you only need eight
square meters of space to rest at night.

So, as long as you have enough food and enough money to spend, that is good
enough. You should live happily. Every family has its own problems. Just do
not compare with others for fame and social status and see whose children
are doing better, etc., but challenge others for happiness, health,
enjoyment, quality of life and longevity...

Don't worry about things that you can't change because it doesn't
help and it may spoil your health.

You have to create your own well-being and find your own place of happiness.
As long as you are in good mood and good health, think about happy things,
do happy things daily and have fun in doing, then you will pass your time
happily every day.

One day passes without happiness, you will lose one day.
One day passes with happiness, and then you gain one day.

In good spirit, sickness will cure; in a happy spirit, sickness will cure
faster; in high and happy spirits; sickness will never come.

With good mood, suitable amount of exercise, always in the sun, variety of
foods, reasonable amount of vitamin and mineral intake, hopefully you will
live another 20 or 30 years of healthy life of pleasure.

Above all, learn to cherish the goodness around... and FRIENDS... They all
make you feel young and "wanted"... without them you are surely to feel
lost!!

PICK UP BROOM AND START CLEANING

I found this article interesting and good when i was reading speaking tree column in Times of India and thought of sharing same on my blog.  Pick up broom and start cleaning is really an article to ponder about.

It is customary for us to spring clean our homes during this festive season, in the run-up to Deepavali. Cleaning is essential activity. All unwanted stuff is disposed of; what can be given away is set aside and homes are given a good wash and some get painted, too. So pick up a broom and as you sweep the dust away, tell yourself that this is your consciousness that you are cleaning. Internalise the outward process.

We’ve heard it said that cleanliness is godliness. It is, for when we live in clean surroundings, don’t we feel happy and energetic? Isn’t it ‘heavenly’? But when we are in dirty places we feel miserable. We want to get out as soon as possible. We cannot feel peace. So too with our internal state of affairs.

Nature teaches us all the time to engage in cleaning. Dust here, pick out the weeds here, wipe off the stains there; cleaning is an endless process because this is nature’s way of ensuring we do not go to sleep; we do not slip into complete inertia.  But how often do any of us undertake to clean something ourselves? We delegate the job. We busy ourselves in gaining knowledge...or so we think. So much we read and study, all the time -- but how much of it is really relevant to our life? We are constantly gathering information; we need to stop and do some spring cleaning here. All that information is useless if it does not help you uncover your consciousness.

There are three types of dust that we gather within ourselves. One is our own negativity. We think negatively, act and perceive negatively. This accumulates inside of us, changing our responses. Secondly we gather negative influences from our surroundings, from the people we meet, and pick up negative vibrations from them.

Sometimes we let ourselves slip into unethical activities because we have cluttered our lives  Hence we need to clear the clutter and confusion to be able to think and act with a clear conscience.

The third type of dust is perhaps the hardest to get rid of – misuse of powers vested in us. We use our senses to fulfil our instant pleasures. We know it is wrong but we seek immediate gratification, for selfish ends. In this manner we cause great injury to not only ourselves but to all of society.

We each of us have tremendous potential within us. We have the divine within us. Once we know that we have allowed sut and dirt to accumulate inside and that it is obstructing us from experience the divinity within, we will instinctively know how to do it. There is no one method that can be applied externally. The first step is to be aware that we need to initiate the cleansing process. The process of cleaning outside and suggesting to yourself that you are also cleaning within will help initially to actually get it done.

A selfless attitude is helpful in cleaning out the consciousness. In fact, it is the best form of cleaning. When you give, you recognise the universal divine nature. Just like nature gives of herself at all times, when you give, you automatically get cleaned. In today’s world of competition, people fear that if they give, people will exploit their kindness and walk all over them. This will not happen. Human progress takes place only when the consciousness is clean and disciplined.
